We are looking for a skilled Ruby on Rails Developer with 2+ years of experience to join our remote engineering team. You will build and maintain scalable, high-performance web applications using Rails — working across the full stack to deliver robust features and clean, well-tested code for clients across diverse industries.

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using Ruby on Rails, following best practices and clean code principles.
- Build and integrate RESTful APIs and background processing services to support frontend and third-party integrations.
- Work with relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL) — write efficient queries, design schemas, and manage migrations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, product managers, and QA engineers to ship features end-to-end.
- Write comprehensive test suites using RSpec or Minitest and participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and reliability.
- Monitor application performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations for speed, security, and scalability.
Requirements
- 2+ years of hands-on experience building and shipping web applications with Ruby on Rails.
- Strong proficiency in Ruby and deep understanding of the MVC architecture, ActiveRecord, and Rails conventions.
- Solid experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL or MySQL), including query optimization and schema design.
- Proficiency with Git-based version control workflows and testing frameworks such as RSpec, Minitest, or Capybara.
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and experience integrating frontend components with Rails views or APIs.
- Familiarity with background job processing (Sidekiq, Delayed Job), caching strategies (Redis, Memcached), and deployment workflows.
- Experience with or exposure to frontend frameworks (React, Vue.js), Docker, AWS, or CI/CD pipelines is a strong plus.
