Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test cases and test scenarios based on product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Perform manual testing including functional, regression, integration, and smoke testing across web and API layers.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance automation test scripts using Java and Selenium WebDriver within frameworks like TestNG or JUnit.
- Identify, document, and track bugs using defect management tools (Jira, Bugzilla) with clear reproduction steps, severity classification, and expected behavior.
- Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and fellow QA engineers to understand requirements, define test strategies, and ensure thorough test coverage.
- Execute automated test suites, analyze results, generate test reports, and participate in test planning and continuous improvement of QA processes.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in software quality assurance with a mix of manual and automation testing.
- Basic to intermediate proficiency in Java programming and object-oriented concepts as applied to test automation.
- Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver and familiarity with test frameworks such as TestNG, JUnit, or Cucumber.
- Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, SDLC/STLC, and defect lifecycle management.
- Strong experience with manual testing techniques — functional, regression, smoke, and integration testing.
- Proficiency with test case design, execution, and documentation, along with basic knowledge of Git and version control workflows.
- Familiarity with API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured), CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions), or performance testing concepts is a strong plus.
